Eugene J. Brookhouse, born in 1944, is a life-long resident of Kenosha. He graduated with a BA degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1966 and from its law school with a JD degree in 1969. Thereafter, he was a law clerk to the Honorable James E. Doyle, Federal District Court Judge for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

In 1970, Mr. Brookhouse joined his father, Andrew R. Brookhouse, in the practice of law. He is presently the managing partner of Brookhouse, Richardson & Parise, Kenosha.

Active in his profession, Gene is a member and past president of the Kenosha Bar Association and a former member of the Wisconsin Bar Associations' Board of Professional Responsibility and Long Range Planning Committee.

Active in his community, Gene is the Executive Director of the Kenosha School Administrators Association; a charter member and organizer of Kemper Center, Inc.; patron of the Kenosha Symphony Association; director of the Kenosha Country Club; and member of the Italian American Society.

Gene played a key role in bringing Jones Intercable and cable service, generally, to Kenosha. He was a member of the Council of St. Mary's Lutheran Church; director of the Kenosha Blood Bank; and a charter member of the Kiwanis Breakfast Club.

Gene and his wife, Ellen, have been married since 1970. They have two daughters: Tina, a graduate of Northwestern University, and Sara, a senior in the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

He enjoys travel, duplicate bridge, golf and time on the computer.
